Daishin Securities projected on 9 July that LG Innotek's operating profit for the second quarter of 2026 will reach 244.7 billion won, surpassing the market consensus of 170.9 billion won by 43.2%. The figure would represent a 2,048% increase from the same period a year earlier.
Revenue for the quarter is estimated at 5.48 trillion won, up 39.3% year on year and 11.6% ahead of the consensus forecast of 4.91 trillion won. That would make it the highest second-quarter revenue in the company's history.
The brokerage cited several drivers behind the strong performance: robust sales of Apple's iPhone 17 series, an expanded share of premium models, and growing revenue from semiconductor substrates — particularly FC-BGA (flip-chip ball grid array) products used in advanced chips. Revenue from the optical solutions division, which supplies camera modules, is estimated at 4.5 trillion won, up 147% year on year.
For the second half of 2026, Daishin forecasts operating profit of 707.6 billion won, a 33.9% increase from the prior year. The brokerage expects the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models to lift average selling prices, aided by the adoption of variable-aperture technology on additional handset lines. Expanding sales of server-grade semiconductor substrates are also expected to bolster earnings.
On an annual basis, operating profit is projected to reach 1.2480 trillion won, an 87.6% increase from the previous year. Daishin revised its earnings-per-share estimate for 2026 upward by 16.1%.
Analyst Park Kang-ho maintained a buy rating and a target price of 1.3 million won per share. LG Innotek's shares closed at 763,000 won on 8 July.
