The centrepiece feature is "AI & Motion Wind," which offers six distinct airflow modes tailored to living patterns and room conditions. These include "AI Direct," which directs airflow towards the user; "AI Indirect," which does the opposite; "Circulation"; "Long Distance"; the signature "WindFree" mode, which eliminates the sensation of a direct draught; and "Max," a new turbo-cooling setting that delivers cooling power 19% faster and stronger than the previous generation.
Ease of maintenance has also improved. The Gallery Pro model features a one-touch "Easy Open Panel" and "Easy Open Door" that allow users to detach the front metal panel and internal fan for cleaning. The wall-mounted model offers equivalent convenience via an "Easy Open Blade" mechanism. Both variants include reusable filters that can be washed with water and used semi-permanently, reducing ongoing maintenance costs.
AI functionality is delivered through Bixby, Samsung's voice assistant, which has been upgraded to interpret intent rather than merely commands. Users can speak naturally—saying things such as "the air conditioning is blowing too hard" or "turn on the air con and set it to dehumidify if humidity goes above 60%"—and the system responds accordingly. A newly added "Wearable GoodSleep" function, integrated with the Galaxy Watch, monitors the user's sleep state at regular intervals and adjusts cooling operation to match each stage of sleep, helping to sustain deeper rest through the night.
The design has been reworked as well. The floor-standing model has been slimmed by approximately 30% in width, with protrusions minimised so it sits more discreetly within a room. The wall-mounted model reflects the vertical and horizontal grid structures typical of modern interiors. Pricing, inclusive of installation, ranges from 4.02 million to 7.3 million won for the Gallery Pro depending on specification, and 1.61 million won for the wall-mounted Pro.
Strengths and Limitations
The standout achievement is the extension of the air-conditioning experience into the domain of sleep. Rather than simply keeping a room cool, the system draws on sleep data from a Galaxy Watch to automatically fine-tune overnight temperatures—a meaningful step towards genuinely personalised climate control that deepens the WindFree identity. The six airflow modes and the reusable filter system are practical additions that will appeal to everyday users.
There are, however, real limitations. The Wearable GoodSleep function requires a Galaxy Watch to work fully, making it largely irrelevant to anyone outside Samsung's ecosystem. Samsung itself has acknowledged this constraint, signalling plans to advance its motion-radar sensor technology so that personalised airflow will eventually be possible without a wearable—which suggests the current implementation is something of a transitional measure. The price of the top-tier model, comfortably above seven million won, will also give many potential buyers pause.
